Meet Pebble To Peak

Pebble To Peak is a two mom team from Calgary, AB. Tracy has two little girls aged 4 & 6 and I (Christina) have 3 kiddos, aged 6, 4 & 1. Although Pebble To Peak started as a fun hobby and a side business, it really has evolved into a full time job. Our small business is now featured in 30 stores across Canada!

Our business was born when I started shopping for my second, yet to be born, baby. I had come across some cute handmade teethers on a local buy and sell page, I thought they were simply adorable so I purchased 3. When I got them home I noticed they didn’t appear to be that stable. I pulled hard and the knots shifted and I thought to myself, “I can do this better”, so I bought a few replacement supplies and I did! I had so much fun doing it, that we decided to do it as a small hobby business. We recognized that safety is 100% the priority and foundation behind our business so we felt it was important to physically and mechanically test the way we make our teethers to ensure compliance across Canada and the US. The silicone is also chemically certified. We are beyond proud to have this safety certification and love providing products to ease the discomfort associated with teething.

We are also both fully employed in the oil and gas industry – makes for a very busy life and balance is certainly something we struggle with, but we’re working on it! And one more thing... I am a huge Flames Fan. I’ve been a season ticket holder since 2005 (sorry Canucks fans).

How did My business begin? I left my second job and needed to help subsidize my income. I was working in a little store in Agassi and it was chilly. I love big blanket shawls so went looking for fabric to make myself some. I had a few ladies come in and ask if we sold what I was wearing I said no I made them and they asked me to make them some so I did. Then my little sister said Laken we should go take some photos so you can sell them online. And that’s how West Coast Alchemist started!
